Teacher of the Year
Ms. Dwyanna Howard
With over 22 years of dedicated service in education, Mrs. Dywanna Bates Howard brings a passion for teaching and a belief that all children can learn to in every classroom she enters. A proud graduate of Alcorn State University, she began her educational journey rooted in a love for learning and a commitment to making a difference in students' lives.

In addition to her work in education, she also served in the Army Reserves, embodying values of discipline, leadership, and service—qualities she brings into her teaching daily.
Beyond the classroom, she is a devoted wife to her husband, Trakendrick, and a loving mother to three wonderful children: Kendaria, Braylon, and Miracle. Her family is her greatest joy and constant motivation. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, traveling, and exploring new experiences that broaden her perspective and enrich her teaching practice.
